Illuminated Signs
There are six main types of illuminated signs. Five are box signs with internal fluorescent lights and the fifth is an external troughlight that shines down onto the sign.
Light Box
All of our light boxes are an aluminium box with internal fluorescent tubes. The face of the sign is made from a 5mm opal acrylic panel and vinyl graphics applied. The panels can be custom coloured to a specific requirement if needed.

Neon Effect
Neon effect illuminated signs have the same constuction as a light box but use a clear acrylic panel and specialised vinyls to give a bright sign that looks similar to neon from distance but without the cost. The background colour is limited, however, to white or black.

Acrylic Panel with Built up letters
3D built up letters can be added to an illuminated sign by fret cutting the panel and fixing the letters in from behind (inlaid letters).

Aluminum Panel with Inlaid Acrylic Letters
A striking sign can be made by using an aluminium panel fret-cut and inlaid with acrylic letters, backlit so that only the letters are illuminated at night. This option also negates the need for planning permission in most cases.

Flex Face
These illuminated signs use a flexible canvas face instead of the ordinary acrylic panels and are exceptionally good for larger signs because they can be supplied in one piece regardless of size. This prevents any join lines showing thus producing a more professional appearance.

Troughlights
Troughlights light the fascia sign from above and can be angled to provide the best illumination for the sign. Lights over 20’ long are supplied in more than one piece. These lights can be coloured to specific requirements if needed.
